Admission criteria

Wallahs Academy Senior High School Admission Criteria: SHS 1 AND 2

SHS 2: WASSCE candidates are to be admitted into SHS 1 or 2 due to the new curriculum and the transcript portal system.

• i) At least 4 passes to go to SHS 2 – Less than 4 passes should be placed in SHS 1.
• ii) Only 1 elective can be changed. If more than one(1) elective, consult the Rector and SHS 1 will be adviced.
• iii) Student must take assessment exams in ENGLISH LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICS as structured for SHS 2.

EXTRA ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

SHS 1: General Science / STEM

• i) Aggregate 6 – 20 Outright Admission
• ii) Aggregate 21 – 25 – Entrance Exams with a credit in Mathematics and Integrated Science in the BECE.
• iii) Entrance Exam before and after BECE; Pass score of at least 70%

General Arts/Global Studies

• i) Aggregate 6 – 30 – Outright Admission
• ii) Aggregate 31 – 35 – Entrance Exams
• iii) Entrance Exam before and after BECE; Pass score of at least 50%

Business

• i) Aggregate 6 – 28 – Outright Admission with pass of 6 in Mathematics.
• ii) Aggregate 29 – 34 – Entrance Exams with a pass in Mathematics.
• iii) Entrance Exam before and after BECE; Pass score of at least 60%

Home Economics/Visual Art

• i) Aggregate 6 – 30 – Outright Admission
• ii) Aggregate 31 – 36 – Entrance Exams with a pass in Mathematics and English.
• iii) Entrance Exam before and after BECE; Pass score of at least 50%

Foreign Students:

Those who did first part (2 years) of University in French speaking countries are to be put into SHS 2. Those who did not, to be put into SHS 1. All foreign schools results should be referred to the Rector. Their English Language must be tested and One(1) year in English Language proficiency classes for them may be required for poor English Language.
